Habitat for Humanity receives latest Dyer Difference Award

VERO BEACH — Dyer Chevrolet and Dyer Mazda Subaru are pleased to announce the 53rd recipient of the Dyer Difference Award: Indian River County Habitat for Humanity.

The Dyer Difference award salutes a 501(C)3 non-profit organization serving Indian River County that is truly making a difference in our community. IRC Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization helping to build homes, community, and hope.

John Dyer, on behalf of Dyer Chevrolet, Mazda and Subaru, as well as Tatiana and Will Dyer, presented the award along with a $3,000 check to the organization to help them promote their well known “Habitat Cracker Hoedown” on March 9 at the SunJet Aviation Hangar.

The “Habitat Cracker Hoedown” is Indian River Habitat’s annual, signature event. Last year, through the Hoedown and other fundraising initiatives, Habitat was able to provide decent and affordable homes for 43 deserving families in Indian River County.

Habitat will create an amazing venue at the SunJet Hangar, which provides guests with an opportunity to enjoy country cooking, live music and dancing, a silent auction, an array of Hoedown-themed games, and mechanical bull rides. Attire is casual with most guests dressing in country western clothing.

”Habitat for Humanity provides so much for our community, and we are happy to support this event so they can continue to do so,” said John Dyer.
