Gallery 14 features undersea photography by Dr. Edie Widder

VERO BEACH — Gallery 14 is proud to present a benefit exhibit to raise funds for the Fort Pierce based Ocean Research and Conservation Association (ORCA.)

The show, which will run through Jan. 5, features deep sea photography by Dr. Edie Widder (transferred to aluminum by Dr. Steve Bernstein,) founding head of the organization and one of the world’s leading marine biologists.

A recipient of a MacArthur Genius Award, Dr. Widder’s specialty “bioluminesence,” or fish that glow, has enabled her to discover ways to help the clean-up efforts of the Indian River Lagoon.

A “last cal” reception will take place as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll on Jan. 4 from 5-8 p.m. The exhibit also features “ocean and river” related work by artists from near and far.

Gallery 14 is located at 1911 14th Ave. in the historic downtown Arts District of Vero Beach.
