Stephen Dyer, 54, died Dec. 16, 2012, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Providence, R.I., and lived in Vero Beach for five years, coming from Massachusetts.
He was a Marine Corps veteran.
He was a member of the Vero Beach Veterans, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 4374 in Vero Beach.
He attended First Church of God in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his mother, Dolores Arnold, of Vero Beach; son, Brian Dyer, of Providence; daughter, Audrey Strywarz, of Providence; and brothers, Alan Dyer, of Rehoboth, Mass., Bruce Dyer, of Bristol, R.I., and Gary Dyer, of Narragansett, Mass.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Dyer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 20 at the First Church of God in Vero Beach.
Out-of-state services are planned for a later date in Bristol, R.I.
