VERO BEACH — Authorities did not find any suspicious devices at the Vero Beach Walmart and have since re-opened the store Thursday. The store had been closed Thursday morning after a phoned-in bomb threat.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was placed on standby but was not needed to respond to Indian River County.
The case is being investigated by detectives with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office to determine if the caller can be identified.
VERO BEACH — Customers are again allowed inside the Vero Beach Walmart after authorities cleared the store. The store had been evacuated this morning after a phoned-in bomb threat.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s deputies, Fire Rescue and the St. Lucie Bomb Squad were called out to Walmart, located at 5555 20th St., to handle the scene.
“I hope they catch this guy that’s doing this,” said a Walmart employee who declined to be identified. “It’s getting ridiculous.”
This is the second time the store has been targeted for bomb threats. The first was in late September.

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Walmart, located at 5555 20th Street, is under evacuation after a bomb threat was phoned into the store.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to avoid the area until the situation has been stabilized.
St. Lucie County Bomb Squad is en route to the store while Indian River County Sheriff’s deputies and fire rescue are on scene.
This is at least the second time this year that the store has received a bomb threat. The last time was in late September.
