FELLSMERE — Residents of Fellsmere walk during a procession on Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Participants made their way to the church where they were blessed by Fr. Philip Scott, visiting from Peru.
Dancers performed from Mission San Juan and Misioneros.
According to Fellsmere Elementary Principal Ramon Echeverria, the day is so important that some students from his school were absent.
Some residents lined Massachusetts Ave. during the procession.
Prayers by some were said as they walked and held their rosaries.
