Elmer C. Maddy, 87, died Dec. 10, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Westmont, Ill., and lived in Vero Beach for four years, coming from Greenwich, Conn.
He became the senior partner of the law firm of Kirlin, Campbell & Keating and Maddy, Dalton & Lion in New York.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy as a lieutenant general.
He attended Harvard Graduate School of Business and was a graduate of Columbia Law School.
Survivors include his wife, Joan G. Maddy of Vero Beach; daughter, Joan White of San Francisco.; brother, James Maddy of Dallas; and three grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Dec. 15 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Interment will be in New York.
