Veterans honored at UUFVB Veterans Day service

VERO BEACH — During the Nov. 11 service at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach, veterans present from eight different wars were recognized and honored for their service to the United States.

Included were veterans from World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, Gulf War, and Peacetime, representing the Air Force/Corps, Army, Marines, Merchant Marines, Naval Aviation, Navy, Navy Submarine Corps., and medical personnel of various services.

The group honored included: Paul Amaru, Kenneth Arendt, Patricia Atkinson, Richard Atkinson, Marty Baker, Allan Ballard, Stewart Barnes, Mike Blanche, Roger Collins, Art Compton, Clarence Conover, Jim Daly, Hoyt Ecker, Richard Fisher, Terry Footman, Hugh Garnett, James Gleaves, Richard Greenfield, Vin Hall, Joe Harian, Rick Helfand, Chuck Hoover, Bob Kennedy, Pete Kersey, Earle Kirkbride, Walter Lagerquist, Jon Levi, Bob Lipton, John Lueder, Art Maier, John Montgomery, John Morgan, Larry Nalepa, Al Parmentier, John Perry, Carl Rantz, Glenn Rogers, Russ Romeyn, Irwin Sadetsky, Hal Simon, Stover Snook, Roger Sobkowiak, and Bob Webber.
