Ellen Kate Fendley-Guin, 65, Vero Beach

Ellen Kate Fendley-Guin, 65, died Nov. 18, 2012, at home.

She was born in Winter Beach and was a lifelong resident of Indian River County.

Prior to retirement, she was a waitress at Westside Beanery.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Vero Beach, and the Eagles in Sebastian.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Christopher L. Guin, of Vero Beach; son, Phillip Lamar Brantley, of Vero Beach; daughter, Terina Smith, of Vero Beach; stepsons, Chris Vestal, of Vero Beach, James Guin, of Orlando and Michael Guin, of Vero Beach; sisters, Mary Jane King, of Vero Beach and Carolyn Bookstore, of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Brantley; sisters, Elizabeth Cavalier, Diane Fendley and Ethel Rusniak; and brothers, Wesley Fendley and Jesse Fendley.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
