William “Bill” Edward Wagner, 95, of Vero Beach died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in 1917 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, and was a resident of Vero Beach since 1952, coming from Columbus, Ohio.
He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater.
He fought at the Battle of the Bulge, and was also stationed in Northern Africa, Italy and France.
Prior to his retirement he worked as an entomologist for 35 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Ruth A. Jacobs and Carolyn Edsall Toohey, both of Vero Beach; sons, Dr. Don Wagner, of Vero Beach, David W. Wagner, of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Dick Wagner, of Helen, Ga.; daughter, Nancy Wagner, of Hollywood; brother, Charles F. Wagner, of Kannapolis, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Margaret Wagner.

A graveside service will be on Nov. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
