INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — William “Bill” Penney of Marine Bank & Trust Company has been elected to serve a second term as Chairman of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Penney has served on the Board since 2010 and is the past Chair of the Chamber’s Economic Development Division. He has also served as Chairman of the Indian River County Economic Development Council and Chairman of United Way.
Elected to serve as Vice Chair is Cathy McKenzie of AT&T Florida. Andy Beindorf, CenterState Bank, was elected as Chamber Treasurer. Linda Schlitt Gonzalez, Coldwell Banker-Ed Schlitt Realtors, continues to serve in the capacity of Immediate Past Chair.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors is comprised of a diverse group of member businesses from all areas of Indian River County.
“I believe we have achieved the goal of Board development that is reflective of the diversity of our county’s business community and of individuals who bring solid leadership to the table,” Chairman Bill Penney stated.
New to the Board of Directors is Kevin Barry, Rossway, Moore, Taylor & Swan. Mr. Barry will serve as General Counsel to the organization.
Jonathan Starratt, Capt. Hiram’s Resort, will serve on the Board and will Chair the Chamber’s Tourism Division.
Also, new to the Chamber Board of Directors are Dan Corrigan, Corrigan Ranch, and Lucinda Gedeon, Vero Beach Museum of Art.
Returning to the Chamber Board of Directors are: Amy Brunjes, FPL; Simon Caldecott, Piper Aircraft; Jim Davis, Treasure & Space Coast Radio; Tatiana Dyer, Dyer Chevrolet; Jay Hart, Wells Fargo; Andrew Kennedy, Proctor Construction; Dave King, INEOS New Planet BioEnergy, LLC; Jamie Laviolette, Publix Supermarkets; Paul Minotty, New Vision Eye Center; Robert Paugh, Bill Bryant & Associates; Keith Pelan, Kimley-Horn and Associates; Peter Robinson, Laurel Homes; Jeff Schlitt, Schlitt Services; Jeff Thompson, Vero Millwork, Inc.; and Todd Westover, Treasure Coast Refuse/Republic Services.
Retiring from the Board are Kathryn Block-Faires, Esquire; Maureen Nicolace, Nicolace Marketing; Chad Morrison, Florida Floor Fashions; and Monica Smiley, Costa d’ Este Beach Resort.
