Learn about daVinci robot at free lecture on lung cancer at IRMC

VERO BEACH — Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer in the world, but it doesn’t have to be.

Join Indian River Medical Center on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 4-5:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Medical Education Room on the first floor.

Cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon Dr. Mark Malias will be joined by pulmonologist Dr. Diego Maldonado and respiratory therapist Rebecca Abbott to discuss IRMC’s multi-specialty lung cancer team and share the latest information on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of lung cancer, including use of the daVinci robot.

Pulmonologist Dr. Michael Tonner will act as moderator of the program. 

Light refreshments will be served.
