VERO BEACH — The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man it says held up the Walgreen’s on U.S. 1 near 53rd Street in Vero Beach Friday evening.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a white male possibly in his mid-30s displayed a small black handgun to the cashier and demanded money around 7:15 p.m.
The suspect is described as standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing between 190 and 210 pounds. He was seen wearing black basketball shorts with a white stripe on the sides, black shoes, and a black beanie-style cap with white trim.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the man has noticeably bad skin on his chin and possible scars from acne.
The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking a second white male, possibly in his 20s, who was seen waiting for the suspect in an older model white 2-door car. The vehicle is possibly a Chevrolet Lumina, according to authorities.
