Jack Ellsworth Chalfant, 68, died Nov. 4, 2012, at VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Sebring and lived in Sebastian, coming from Okeechobee.
He retired from South Florida Water Management after 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria J. Chalfant, of Sebastian; son, Jack Chalfant, of Okeechobee; sisters, Jeri Pettis, of Lake Placid and Judy Thomas, of Avon Park; mother, Madeline Thompson, of Frostproof; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Jennie Chalfant; son, Robbie Chalfant; stepson, Roland Ahnert III; and brothers, Gene Chalfant and Broward Cline.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 grave side at Ortona Cemetery.
