Richard Leslie Blackman, 79, died Nov. 2, 2012, at Indian River Estate Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Endicott, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for three years, coming from Binghamton, N.Y.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was retired from IBM and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife of three years, Carolyn Blackman, of Vero Beach; daughter, Lynda Short; sons, Steven Blackman, Greg McQuade and Andrew Hobart.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Vero Beach.
