ACTS Golf Classics raise more than $118,000

VERO BEACH — ACTS Retirement-Life Communities hosted the 19th Annual ACTS Golf Classics recently. This year, a field of 272 golfers, including 41 ACTS residents, enjoyed golfing at three spectacular courses located throughout the Pennsylvania and Florida ACTS regions.

The Vero Beach tournament was held at the beautiful Vista Plantation Golf Course on Friday, October 12.

Each tournament held contests for hole-in-one, longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, and lowest team score. The tournament kicked-off with a shotgun scramble followed by a raffle and award luncheon, which included numerous raffle and door prizes, from golf gear and gift certificates to sporting event tickets and autographed memorabilia.

The three tournaments collectively rose over $118,000 for the ACTS Samaritan Fund, which helps to meet the cost of care and daily living expenses of residents whose assets have been unexpectedly depleted. Of the total, the Florida tournaments raised $28,000 for local ACTS communities, including Indian River Estates.
