VERO BEACH — Special Olympics of Indian River County would like to thank Leisure Square in Vero Beach for allowing us to practice in their pool every Saturday.
The staff, from the check-in desk to the fantastic life guards, is truly wonderful.
Special thanks to Richard Sutterlee and John Amyette who continuously went above and beyond to make sure all the athletes were not only safe and learning new skills, but having a good time.
The Special Olympic swimmers thoroughly enjoy their Saturday time at the pool and are making great strides in the improvement of their swimming skills.
There is definitely magic in the air (or should we say water) when someone is able to swim the entire length of the pool for the first time.
