Calling all volunteer bell ringers for The Salvation Army

VERO BEACH — The Salvation Army of Indian River County in Vero Beach is in need of volunteer bell ringers for the 2012 Red Kettle Campaign kicking off November 16.

In an effort to help families in need during the upcoming Christmas season, The Salvation Army of IRC is planning on having 100% volunteers ring the bell this 2012 Red Kettle Season. This goal is to insure that we stretch every dollar we receive to the maximum to help those less fortunate during the Christmas season.

We need as many volunteers as possible to cover 2 hour shifts at over 15 locations throughout Indian River County.

Some of the locations include Publix, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Winn Dixie, The Post Office, Walgreens, JC Penney, and Sam’s Club. Hours of ringing are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at most locations.

Churches, civic organization, companies, schools, and service clubs can adopt a kettle location for the entire five week campaign and volunteer to ring the bell and help those less fortunate during the greatest giving time of year.

So give your time to help those in need and volunteer to help The Salvation Army of IRC achieve 100% volunteers during the 2012 Red Kettle Campaign and help us “Do the Most Good” right here in your community.
