Junior League of Indian River to host Oktoberfest at Pointe West

VERO BEACH — Tighten up your Dirndls and strap on your Lederhosen; Oktoberfest is back.

The Junior League of Indian River County will host its fourth annual Oktoberfest on October 27 from 2-7 p.m. at Pointe West in Vero Beach.

“This has quickly become a tradition for Treasure Coast families and is a wonderful kickoff for the fall season. It’s a great, inexpensive way to give back to the community as well as spend the day with family and friends,” explained Oktoberfest Chairs Anna Gibbs and Beth Manley.

Entry to the festivities is free.

Tickets to the kindergarten activities are $10 per child, which include pony rides, bounce house, face painting, and games.

Entertainment will include Bob Houston Oktoberfest Trio, authentic dancing by the Treasure Coast German/American Club, a flag parade, and official keg tapping.

Visitors will also have the option to purchase a selection of German beer, as well as authentic German food such as knockwurst, bratwurst, strudel, and potato pancakes.

The Junior League is still accepting applications for vendors, including craft, food, and non-profit booths.

Sponsorships also are available.

The Junior League of Indian River identifies needs within the community and develops projects that address those needs.

Proceeds from Oktoberfest directly support community impact projects and the Whole Child Indian River, the League’s newest ground floor initiative.
