Stanley B. Edwards, 89, died Oct. 18, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Tapjorski, Denmark, and moved to Vero Beach 45 years ago, coming from New York.
He served in the Polish military and with American military in Italy.
Before retirement, he worked as an independent contractor for many years at Johns Island.
Survivors include his fiancee, Vivian Schmitz, of Vero Beach; godson, Edmundo Ptak, of Poland; and goddaughter, Tzeslawa Banaott, of Poland.
No memorial services are planned at this time.
