Grady B. Pinner, 93, Vero Beach

Grady B. Pinner, 93, died Oct. 17, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Burlison, Tenn., and lived in Vero Beach for 14 years, coming from Waterford, Mich.

He was a carpenter by trade, repairing and restoring antique clocks.

He was a member and representative of the Carpenters Union, as well as a union officer.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Ruby Henry Pinner, of Vero Beach; daughter, Judith Pinner Sheldon, of Detroit; sons, Gary Pinner, of Clarkston, Mich., and Roy Pinner, of Vero Beach; brothers, Herbert Pinner, of Venice and Paul Pinner and Richard Pinner, both of Waterford, Mich.; sisters, Wilma Welch, of Franklin, N.C., Eileen Foore, of Monroe, Mich., Mary Wilhote, of Waterford, Mich., and Pat Parkin, of Lake Orion, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his brothers, Robert, Donald and Lester Pinner.

Services: Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, followed by funeral services at the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3918 Vero Beach will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
