Betty L. Thorne, 86, died Oct. 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Mount Holly, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach since 1980, coming from Mount Holly.
Before retirement, she was a secretary for the U.S. Government.
Survivors include her brother, Calvin Pierce, of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter.
At the request of the family, there will be no services locally.
Services will be at a later date in Mount Holly.
