Royce “Andy” Anderson, 80, Vero Beach

Royce “Andy” Anderson, 80, of Vero Beach died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the VNA Hospice House.

He was born in Easton, Minn.

He served in the Army for 20 years, including during the Korean War, Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.

He retired from the Army as a master sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

After the Army, he worked for the Civil Service for 20 years in Vint Hill Farms Station in Virginia, and then retired to Greenville, N.C., where he lived for 20 years.

He moved to Vero Beach 2 years ago.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dottie Anderson; daughters, Donna Lee Jones, of Leesburg, Va., Shelly Joyner, of Greenville, N.C., and Bonnie Walker, of Vero Beach; son, Michael Anderson, of Manassas, Va.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A private inurnment will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.

Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
