Ellen Brown Abell, 71, died Oct. 11, 2012 at VNA Hospice House.
She was born in Newton, Mass., and moved to Vero Beach five years ago, coming from Delray Beach.
She was the former President of Abell Home Loans for many years.
She was a member of the local Elks Lodge in Vero Beach.
She attended St. John of the Cross.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, George R. Abell; daughters, Darrah Abell of Stuart and Deirdre Murray of Vero Beach; and three grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach.
