Sebastian Exchange volunteers at Youth Guidance Sunshine Special

SEBASTIAN — The Exchange Club of Sebastian was out in force to support the efforts of Youth Guidance at their recent Sunshine Special held at the Vero Beach Sports Village.

Sebastian Exchange members turned out to mentor Youth Guidance kids, enjoying swimming, volleyball, basketball, an egg toss, and a BBQ lunch. A great time was had by all.

The activities of Youth Guidance are designed to give underprivileged youth some one-on-one time with an adult mentor to foster positive growth in their lives. This event gave both Exchangites and kids the opportunity to interact with one another while enjoying a beautiful day and fun activities.

The Exchange Club of Sebastian strives to make a positive difference in the community through their efforts in the areas of patriotism, volunteerism, community service, and the Prevention of Child Abuse, the National Exchange Club initiative.

Their contributions to local charities and scholarships are made possible through their annual Sebastian Exchange Blue Water Open, which celebrated its 20th year on June 1, 2012.

Persons interested in learning more about Sebastian Exchange are encouraged to attend a luncheon any 2nd through the last Wednesday of each month at Captain Hiram’s at Noon.
