Don your ghoulish best for Frightening Formals on 14th Avenue

VERO BEACH — Get a head start on your “end of the world” preparations and Halloween celebrations with “Frightening Formals on 14th Avenue: A Halloween Party to Die For!” on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 to benefit the Heritage Center and Citrus Museum.

The party starts at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center located in the heart of historic downtown Vero Beach.

Be ready to show off your “zombie formal” attire as you stroll down the red carpet, have your portrait taken by Marie Irene Photography and then dance the night away.

Catered light refreshments from Culinary Capers and Sweet Creations as well as a frightfully delicious cake from Carnival Confections, cash bar, lots of free door prizes and a raffle for a 22” Samsung flat screen TV courtesy of Bill’s Audio and Video Innovations are just a few of the treats that await you at the party.

Guests are requested to don Zombie Formal or other appropriate frightening formal attire.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Tickets are limited.

Tickets may be purchased at the Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave, Vero Beach, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday or by calling 772-770-2263.

Tickets are also available from committee members.

Built in 1935 as the original Community Building, the Heritage Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a vital link to the history of our community. Funds generated from this event assist in the preservation of this important landmark which continues to be a center of activity for the community, hosting numerous public and private events including weddings, meetings and dances.
