Ruth M. Rogers, 84, died Sept. 30, 2012, at VNA Hospice House.
She was born in Westphalia, Ind., and lived in Vero Beach for 29 years, coming from Tinley Park, Ill.
She was a homemaker and worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Vero Beach for spring training for many years.
She was a member of the Sebastian Christian Church and attended the Vero Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Gordon Reece Rogers, of Vero Beach; daughter, Penny Shafer, of Palisade, Colo.; sons, Stacey Rogers, of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Robert Rogers, of Palisade, Colo., and Steven Rogers, of Malcomb, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 5, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Vero Christian Church, Vero Beach, with Pastor’s Ernie Miller and Steve Jones officiating.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
