Tiger Lily to feature works by Timothy Sanchez and Deborah Gooch

VERO BEACH — Tiger Lily Art Studios & Gallery will open its first show this fall, What I Did on My Summer Vacation, showing works by Timothy Sanchez and Deborah Gooch.

This show focuses on the new work created at Gooch’s Winter Beach Farm this summer. These exciting pieces by Timothy and Deborah will be on view in the gallery on Oct. 5 for First Friday Art Stroll.

Deborah Gooch says, “I paint all year, but during the summer, I have more time for exploration, experimentation and growth. I wanted to be able to sprawl while painting with oils and the unoccupied barn seemed like the perfect spot. By nature and necessity I tend to work alone. During the time in the barn painting with Tim and Shotsi, I think we learned from and enjoyed each other’s input and artistic discussion.”

Tim is a renowned abstract expressionist, who currently resides in Vero Beach. The New York Times reported, “He succeeds in translating intangible fleeting phenomena into concrete form”.

This summer, Tim and Deborah, along with Shotsi, explored the technique of underpainting in acrylic with a final glazing in oil. The result? Must see! Expressionistic style with a more luminous final surface.

The work is fabulous, inventive and fresh!

Other summer works will be on display by Tiger Lily artists Travis Blanton, Julia Carter, Donna Dodderage, Shotsi Cain lajoie, Sharon Sexton and Glenda Taylor.

Tiger Lily is a working studio located at 1903 14th Ave., in a historic church in downtown Vero Beach. Their hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10-2 beginning October 1st.
