Ivan G. “Bill” Goodwin, 89, died Sept. 27, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach since 1980, coming from his birthplace.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1944.
He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart on July 16, 1944.
He was of the Jewish faith.
He was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the 4th Marine Division Association.
Survivors include his wife, Muriel of New York City; and brother, Warren Goodwin of New York.
Services will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
