Help prevent a West Nile Virus Epidemic in homeless community

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Survival is a full-time job when a person is homeless.

The system through which those struggling with homelessness must navigate

requires an inordinate amount of time and extraordinary effort.

They deal with insects, rodents, heat, humidity and danger. They often have medical conditions that require consistent care. The “way out” seems out of reach, or at best, off in the distant future. The Source acts like an emergency room, rescuing and restoring, addressing and meeting the needs of Indian River County’s most desperate citizens.

Due to a recent West Nile Virus alert by the Indian River County Emergency Management, The Source is in dire need of mosquito repellent.

They are seeking donations immediately in order to prevent a West Nile Virus epidemic within the homeless community.
