Lois Arlene Scott, 93, died Sept. 25, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Evansville, Ind., and lived in Vero Beach since 1976, coming from Saudi Arabia.
She was a private music instructor in Indian River County for 30 years.
She was a professional violinist.
Survivors include her son, John C. Scott, of Cobleskille, N.Y.; daughters, Karen Thomson, of Forsyth, Mo., Alice C. Scott, of Los Angeles and Michaela Carlini, of Alexandria, Va.; sister, Ester Anderson, of South Dakota; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Scott; and a grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church, 1901 23rd St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Community Church of Vero Beach.
