INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Vero Beach Walmart was evacuated last night around 11:30 p.m. because of a manager who found a suspicious package according to the dispatch and Jeff Luther, Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
The package was found in the restroom.
Luther said wires were jutting out of the wooden box which had been fastened with strapping tape.
The bomb squad was called in from St. Lucie County. They determined that the box was in fact a bomb hoax.
