INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Gov. Rick Scott officially appointed Jeffrey R. Smith as the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller yesterday, Sept. 26.
Smith’s first official duty since his appointment was to administer the Oath of Attorney for Patrick W. McDonald at a private induction ceremony in Smith’s office.
The Supreme Court of Florida requires that the Oath of Attorney be administered by a judge, notary or Clerk of the Court.
McDonald, is a graduate of Villanova University and passed the Florida Bar last week. He is now eligible to practice Law in the State of Florida.
