Ruth J. Christoffers, 83, died Sept. 24, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Elizabeth, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 10 years, coming from New Jersey.
She was the founding owner of Christoffers Flowers and Gifts in Mountainside, N.J.
Survivors include her son, Kurt Christoffers, of Mountainside, N.J.; daughter, Lisa Christoffers Yano, of Tokyo, Japan; sister, Bonnie Bolton, of Vero Beach; brothers, Neil Bolton, of Naples and Kenneth Bolton, of Dunellen, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Dutch” Christoffers.

At the family’s request, the funeral will be at a later date.
