Virginia (Stout) Knoblauch, 77, Vero Beach

Virginia (Stout) Knoblauch, 77, died Sept. 22, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

She was born in Trenton, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for six years.

She received her master’s degree in health care administration.

Before retirement, she was a hospice nurse for many years at Hospice of Southeastern Michigan.

She was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir.

She was involved in the Association for Retarded Citizens of Southeastern Michigan and worked to establish a group home for adults with developmental disabilities, where one of her daughters now resides.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, K. Richard Knoblauch, of Vero Beach; daughters, Kathryn Knoblauch, of Lowell, Mass., Kristin Knoblauch, of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich., and Carolyn Musholt, of Quincy, Ill.; sister, Margaret Miller, of Las Cruces, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Indian River Estates Clubhouse, Vero Beach.
