Rossway Moore Taylor & Swan Foundation invites nonprofits to submit grant requests

VERO BEACH — In 1999, Rossway Moore Taylor & Swan, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, originated from the desire to establish a diversified law firm to serve the ever evolving needs of the Treasure Coast. The founding partners have built a firm that combines a wide array of legal services with an emphasis on efficiency, cost effectiveness and compassion.

In an effort to maximize the Firm’s charitable impact and to deepen their bond with the community, the partners created the Rossway Moore Taylor & Swan Foundation as a branch of the Firm devoted solely to giving. Funded with contributions from the Firm’s profits, the Foundation becomes a partner in the Firm’s success, so as to benefit the interests of the local community. Managed by partner Tom Tierney, the Foundation annually solicits proposals for assistance in the technological development of Indian River County charitable organizations.

To be eligible for a grant, an application must be completed and submitted by qualifying non-profits for consideration, beginning October 1 through December 1, 2012. In January, 2013, the Foundation Board will conduct a review of all submitted applications and make a determination of which entities will be awarded a grant for the current year.

An application may be obtained by contacting our office at 772-231-4440.

Last year, the Foundation provided 14 generous computer hardware, software, and technology grants to Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County, Childcare Resources of Indian River, Grace Way Village, Homeless Family Center, The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, Public Guardianship Program of Indian River County, Riverside Theatre, Samaritan Center for Homeless Families, Sebastian River High School Band Boosters, Senior Resource Center, St. Sebastian Conference of St. Vincent De Paul, Substance Awareness Council of Indian River County, Sun Up Center, and Vero Heritage, Inc.

The Firm’s technology consultant, Eric Price of Technology Partners Consulting, Inc., has collaborated with the Foundation to donate in-kind services such as set-up, installation, and technological expertise.
