FORT PIERCE – Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties raised over $10,000 for the children it serves at its Bowl for Kids’ Sake event on Saturday, March 1 at Saint Lucie Lanes in Port St. Lucie. Stakeholders, donors, event sponsors, and BBBS staff, board members, and volunteers gathered at the bowling fundraiser in support of BBBS’ one-to-one mentoring programs. The nonprofit’s mission is to create and support these one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of our youth. BBBS programs are free for all participants, making fundraisers like Bowl for Kids’ Sake crucial to maintaining a community that offers every opportunity for our youth to achieve their full potential. Event sponsors included Strike Sponsor Publix Charities and Perfect Game Sponsor Walmart; Lane Sponsors East Coast Lumber & Supply Co., Lakewood Park Elementary, and Remnant Construction; and Pin Sponsors Moonswiners Bar-B-Q, KRK Enterprises, Inc., and West Gate K-8.
