VERO BEACH — The Chick-fil-A restaurant at the Indian River Mall in Vero Beach will hold an essay contest with the theme “How to Succeed This School Year” for area students in grades 1 through 6. Students will be grouped into three school grade categories for judging: 1st and 2nd grade; 3rd and 4th grade; and 5th and 6th grade.
Winners from each category will be rewarded with an in-restaurant party on Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. for themselves and five attendees. The winning students’ teacher will also receive a $20 gift card to the Indian River Mall Chick-fil-A. All students who submit entries will receive a free four-count Chick-fil-A(r) Nuggets Kid’s Meal coupon.
Essays are due Sept. 15, and winners will be contacted by Sept. 20. There is no essay length requirement.
Each essay must include submission information, including the student’s full name, school, teacher’s name and a teacher or parent email. All grade-eligible students in Indian River County may submit their essays to the Indian River Mall Chick-fil-A Restaurant, or mail them to Chick-fil-A in Indian River Mall, 6200 20th Street, Suite 476, Vero Beach, FL 32966
