William J. Dunne, 82, died Aug. 31, 2012, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Bayside Queens, Long Island, N.Y.
He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955.
He was vice president of the Fox Steel Co., Orange, Conn.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughter, Diane Smith, of Milford, Conn.; sons, William J. Dunne Jr., of Oakland, Calif., Christopher Dunne, of New Haven, Conn., and Robert F. Dunne, of West Haven, Conn.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.
