Burton C. Hillocks, 91, died Sept. 4, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Dundee, Scotland, and lived in Vero Beach since 1980, coming from Hamden, Conn.
He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Vero Beach.
Before retirement, he was captain of the Hamden Fire Department in Connecticut where he worked as a firefighter for 30 years.
Survivors include his son, Bruce Hillocks of Meriden, Conn.; and two grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
