William Vivona Jr., 82, Vero Beach

William Vivona Jr., 82, died Aug. 31, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 19 years, coming from Union, N.J.

He served in the Marine Corps.

He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.

Before retirement, he worked at Suburban Whole Sale Florist for 44 years in Chatham, N.J.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Stella Vivona, of Vero Beach; sons, William Vivona III, of Bound Brook, N.J., Michael Vivona, of Union, N.J., and David Vivona, of Vero Beach; daughter, Sharyn Doutt, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; sister, Vivian Burke, of West Palm Beach; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 1 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach, with a service at 5 p.m. with Deacon Charles Weir officiating.
