VERO BEACH — The HarborChase Hole-in-One Golf Tournament held Saturday, August 18, at The Club at Pointe West raised $5,000 to support Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County.
Spearheading the planning committee were HarborChase of Vero Beach staff led by Tom Rockwood, Director of Maintenance, and committee members including Kara Anderson, Executive Director, Sheree Gough, Director of Sales, Trish Kelly, Director of Memory Care and Life Enrichment, Chef Todd Bartlett, and Joy Lakeram, Director of Resident Care.
“Many of our HarborChase residents are affected by memory and movement disorders and have benefited greatly from the services that Alzheimer & Parkinson Association provides,” explained Anderson.
“We are grateful to the community-wide support, local businesses, and 72 players that participated in this event to help us meet our fundraising goal,” Anderson added.
In addition to HarborChase, other event sponsors included Aloha Home Health & Fit Rehabilitation, Lyn Besaw, The Buell Family, Carroll Distributing, Douglas Home Health, Gatzke Insurance, Harbor Retirement Associates, Home Instead Senior Care, Indian River Primary Care, Jimmy’s A/C and Refrigeration, K.H. In addition to the golf tournament, HarborChase hosted two other events this year, “Dining to Make a Difference” in April and a luau in July, to raise a total of over $11,000 for Alzheimer & Parkinson Association.
HarborChase is also a sponsor for the 9th Annual Walk to Remember, which is scheduled for November 10, and plans to participate as a team that includes family and friends.
