William “Bill” Wade, 91, Sebastian

William “Bill” Wade, 91, died Aug. 25, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Ludlow, Mass., and lived in Sebastian for 25 years, coming from Massachusetts.

He and his wife resided in Scituate, Mass. off and on for 30 years.

He served in the Navy and worked as an air crewman as an aerial photographer during World War II.

After the Navy, he attended Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., graduating in 1949.

Before retirement, he worked as a civil engineer for 21 years for the United Brands Corp.

Survivors include his sons, William A. Wade, of Sebastian and Steven Wade, of Vero Beach; daughters, Susan Swetland, of Cooper City and Nancy Grant, of Orlando; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Iris Jean Wade; daughter, Rahima Carol Wade; and brothers, Reed Wade and Donald Wade.
