Dennis Paul Nemeth, 70, Vero Beach

Dennis Paul Nemeth, 70, died Aug. 16, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

He was born in Passaic, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for seven years, coming from Washington Crossing and Beach Haven, N.J.

He graduated from Delbarton Prepatory School, Morristown, N.J., and St. Anselm College, Manchester, N.H.

He completed OCC training, and graduated from the New Jersey Military Academy, serving in the Army National Guard as a first lieutenant.

He was mayor of Hopewell, N.J., in the early 1990s.

He was president of D.P. Nemeth Association and Kaser Training, North America and director of training for Kuehne & Nagel for North and South America.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. Nemeth, of Vero Beach; son, Darryl Nemeth, of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter, Adrienne Ferreira, of Roebling, N.J.; stepdaughter, Melissa Coleman, of Marshfield, Vt.; stepson, David Coleman, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Nemeth.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
