INDIAN RIVER COUNTY —Indian River County Firefighters responded to a mobile home fire this morning at the 5700 Block of 60th Ave near Storm Grove Middle School that left one dead and multiple children displaced.
According to Fire Rescue spokesman Asst. Fire Chief Brian Burkeen, the children living at the residence are safe with relatives. Authorities have not yet been able to identify the victim and were unable to provide a description.
Authorities responded to the single-wide mobile home and found it fully engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. They are waiting for the State Fire Marshal’s report. The home was a total loss.
