Elvira D. Branigan, 95, died Aug. 5, 2012, at The Place at Vero Beach.
She was born in New York City and lived in Vero Beach since 1977, coming from Clearwater Beach and Wantagh, N.Y.
She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, where she was a member of the choir.
She volunteered at the Center for the Arts, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Edward S. Branigan III, of Vero Beach; daughter, Barbara Baris, of Taylor; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, retired Army Brig. Gen. Edward S. Branigan Jr.
