Mary G. Jernigin, 85, died Aug. 7, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She was born in Newport News, Va., and lived in Vero Beach for more than 10 years, coming from Titusville.
Before retirement, she worked as an auditor for Butcher & Singer Bank in Philadelphia and for Barnett Bank in Miami.
Survivors include her son, Robert Benjamin of Miami; daughters, Janiece Lamn of Los Angeles, Pamela Wigandt of Riverview, and Joanne Benjamin of Fort Lauderdale; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Emmett Benjamin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11, with a service beginning at 1 p.m. at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
