Joseph W. Larkin, 94, died July 19, 2012, at Sebastian Medical Center, Sebastian.
He was born and raised in Pittsburgh and lived in Florida since 1986, coming from Danvers, Mass.
He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Class of 1940.
He served in the Air Force during World War II.
Before retirement, he was a district sales representative for Allis Chalmers Co. and worked in industrial manufacturing for the industrial division of Ford Motor Co.
He was a life member of the Kiwanis Club of Danvers and a member of the Senior Softball League of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Alvina M. Larkin; daughters, Jane A. Alden, of Wakefield and Sally L. Bettencourt, of Danvers; sons, Joseph W. Larkin Jr., of Des Plaines, Ill., and Theodore A. Larkin; stepdaughter, Joanna Nest, of Merritt Island; sister, Helen Greig, of Erie, Pa.; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Larkin; sons, James A. Larkin and Francis R. Larkin; brothers, Frank Larkin and Ted Larkin; and stepdaughter, Donna Berry.
