Charles Edwin Boyer, 92, died July 29, 2012, at Indian River Estates Medical Center.
He was born in Bowmanstown, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Bethlehem, Pa.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He graduated in 1942 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
Prior to retirement in 1981, he worked for Western Electric/Lucent of Allentown, Pa., for 34 years.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Greenleaf Masonic Lodge and the Valley of Allentown Consistory, both in Allentown.
He was a member of Community Church of Vero Beach.
Survivors include three sons, Richard F. Boyer and Edwin A. Boyer, both of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Robert C. Boyer, of Stewartsville, N.J.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Josephine “Josie” Boyer; and two brothers, Warren and Howard Boyer.
No services will be held locally.
Interment will be in Pennsylvania at a later date.
