The Source introduces Interim Executive Director Dennis Bartholomew

VERO BEACH — The Source is delighted to announce the appointment of Dennis Bartholomew as the new interim Executive Director of the Source and interim CEO of the Camp Haven Program, effective July 16, 2012.

Bartholomew is an experienced professional who brings many years of leadership in serving the homeless and disadvantaged. As Executive Director of SunUp, Bartholomew was responsible for managing programs involving individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and various other disabilities.

Prior to joining SunUp, Bartholomew worked for the Homeless Family Center as their Development Director and has extensive experience in helping the homeless, poor, and needy.

Bartholomew will build on a strong foundation laid by Tom King and Sonya Morrison and lead The Source and Camp Haven into a new phase of development, focusing on meeting the needs of the homeless and indigent in Indian River County.

The Source would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board of Directors, Sonya Morrison, and staff for their great work and for ensuring such a smooth and effective transition.

The Source is a Christian ministry for homeless individuals and families at-risk. The doors of The Source open six days a week to provide people in need with nourishment for the body and soul.

The ministry offers daily hot meals, an emergency food pantry, clothing, showers, counseling support groups, and many other services.

The purpose of the Camp Haven Program is to offer a safe, legal place to sleep while providing case management support and life skills education for Indian River County residents who intend to rise out of homelessness.
