Sex offender, 74, arrested for being near Fellsmere Bible school service

FELLSMERE — A 74-year-old registered sex offender has been arrested, accused of going to Fellsmere First Baptist Church and loitering during a vacation Bible school service meant for children.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about the suspect, identified as Henry Crisp, being at the children’s service. Investigators received a warrant and arrested Crisp.

In 2011, Crisp was granted permission to attend adult church services at Fellsmere First Baptist Church but was prohibited from attending services intended for children.

Crisp faces a misdemeanor charge of loitering or prowling by certain offenders in close proximity to children, according to the arrest report. He has since been released from the county jail on $2,500 bail.
